Final notice for electrical appliances (2019): Guarantee adjustments possible via Stiftung EAR

Every year, the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) requires a valid guarantee from all companies selling B2C electrical appliances. The guarantee is based on the expected quantity of electrical appliances to be sold. Companies now have the possibility to modify the guarantee for 2019 to reflect the actual number of electrical appliances put on the market. Any changes in quantity must also be registered at the EAR-Portal.

Please note the following instructions:

• An adjustment is always necessary if the original planned quantity has been exceeded.
• To make an adjustment, go to the EAR-Portal and under "Tasks" you will find "Increase assigned guarantee amount".
• If there are no adjustments to be made, no further steps are necessary.
• Important note for the adjustment: First, please inform us about the required guarantee amount so that we can send you the adjusted guarantee. Then, after you have received the adjusted guarantee, please make the appropriate adjustment at the EAR-Portal.
