Parameter Modification for the Calculation of Guarantee Amounts as of 2017

stiftung ear modifies the parameters that are relevant for the calculation of the guarantee amounts as of January 2017; previous guarantee periods remain unaffected. This is based on the analysis of the survey from July 2016.

This affects the following parameters:

• Presumed return rate in %
• Presumed medium life expectancy in months
• Medium disposal costs per group in € / t

The effects will be:

• By changing the parameters the guarantee amounts will change
• Example: The guarantee amount of the type of equipment 3.2 Personal Data Printers will be reduced by half compared to the guarantee amount of 2016 (with the same planned quantity)
• Example: The guarantee amount of the type of equipment 5.1.2 (Lamps, except gas discharge lamps), however, will be higher in 2017 compared to the guarantee amount of 2016 (with the same planned quantity)
• We will calculate the new guarantee amounts for you. For customers of our weee full-service and our Notification Service we will of course report all relevant data to stiftung ear – just as you are used to
